What is Horoskope AI?

Horoskope AI gives you a short daily astrology brief read from your exact birth chart.

It says what to lean into, what to keep small and when your windows fall, with the chart factors behind them. You can read it through a Vedic or a Western lens.

Horoskope AI, in full
Is Horoskope AI free?

Yes, to start.

With no account you get your Sun, Moon, Rashi and rising sign. You also get today's reading in full, in both voices, and the daily horoscope by email once your birth details are in. A free account adds your full chart drawn both ways and your life chapters. Pro adds this week, this month and your year, the guru, who answers questions from your own chart, every day dated and timed, and read-aloud. Try Pro free whenever you are ready: 7 days, no card, and nothing is charged. Afterwards your account continues on Free.

How is a daily brief different from a sun-sign horoscope?

A sun-sign horoscope is written for everyone born under the same Sun sign, about a month of birthdays.

A brief starts from your birth date, time and place, and reads where today's Moon falls against your birth star. You can see the chart factors it was read from.

Today's horoscope by sign
Can I get a daily horoscope by email from my birth chart?

Yes.

After your free reading, enter your email and choose Every morning. At 8 AM where you live, each edition opens the day computed from your own chart in both voices, yours first: the opening of each reading, a line of that voice's sky, and your six life areas, each one tap from the full reading. One-click unsubscribe. It is the daily horoscope a sun-sign column cannot give, because it knows your Moon, your rising sign (with a birth time) and the period you are living through.

Get your free reading
What if I do not know my birth time?

You can still get a reading from your date and place.

On this site, the free reading leaves the rising sign out rather than guessing it. In the app, tick 'I don't know my birth time' during onboarding: your chart is cast for midday and flagged, so the rising sign and houses are marked approximate and house-level readings stay humble. Life-chapter dates are marked as estimates. What is read by sign holds best: your Moon's sign usually holds, but a midday chart can put the Moon in the neighbouring nakshatra, which moves the chapter dates and the nakshatra-based compatibility factors, so treat those as indicative until a real time is found.

AI astrology and your birth chart

What is an AI astrologer?

An AI astrologer is software that interprets a birth chart in plain language and answers questions about it.

The difference that matters is where the chart comes from: calculated from an astronomical ephemeris, or estimated by the language model itself. Horoskope AI calculates your Western and Vedic charts from your exact birth date, time and place first, and uses AI only to interpret them.

How Horoskope calculates, then interprets
How does an AI astrologer work?

It works in two stages: calculation, then interpretation.

First the chart is calculated: where the Sun, Moon and planets stood at your birth minute, seen from your birthplace, the houses, and in Vedic astrology the nakshatras, divisional charts and dasha periods. Then a language model writes about those calculated facts, guided by the tradition's rules, and answers follow-up questions about them. At Horoskope the engine does every calculation and the AI only interprets.

Calculated first, interpreted second
What is an AI birth chart?

An AI birth chart is a birth chart calculated by software and explained in plain language by AI.

The chart itself is astronomy: where each planet stood at your birth minute, seen from your birthplace. The AI part is the explanation of what those placements mean. A free Horoskope account draws yours in the North Indian and South Indian styles and reads it in the Western and the Vedic voice.

Free birth chart calculator
Is Horoskope AI based on my full birth chart?

Yes.

Every personal reading starts from your full birth chart, calculated from your birth date, time and place, not from your Sun sign. That includes your Sun, Moon and rising sign, the houses, your nakshatra, your dasha period and, in Vedic astrology, the divisional charts. Without a birth time, the free reading on this site leaves the rising sign out, and the app casts the chart for midday and marks the rising sign and houses as approximate rather than presenting them as known.

See your full birth chart
How accurate is an AI horoscope?

The calculation can be exact; the interpretation is a reading, not a forecast.

Planetary positions computed from an ephemeris for your birth minute are astronomically precise, and anyone can check them against an almanac. What those positions mean is the tradition's interpretation, which describes tendencies and guarantees no outcome. An AI horoscope is only as sound as the chart underneath it.

Are horoscopes accurate?
Can AI interpret a Vedic birth chart?

Yes, when the chart is calculated first.

A Vedic birth chart depends on exact sidereal positions, the nakshatras, the divisional charts and the dasha dates, which are arithmetic, and a language model asked to produce them from memory can get them wrong. Interpreting a correctly calculated Vedic chart in plain language is the part AI is suited to, and it is how Horoskope's Vedic readings are made.

Can ChatGPT read your birth chart?
What information do I need for an astrology birth chart?

You need your birth date, your birth time and your birthplace.

The date gives the planets' signs; the time, to the minute, gives the rising sign and the houses, which move through a whole sign in about two hours; the place fixes the time zone and the horizon. Without a birth time you can still have a chart from the date and place: this site's free reading leaves the rising sign out, and the app marks it approximate.

What is the difference between a horoscope and a birth chart?

A birth chart, also called a natal chart, is a map of the sky at the moment you were born; a horoscope is a reading of what the current sky means for you.

A newspaper horoscope reads the current sky against one of twelve Sun signs. A personal horoscope reads it against your whole birth chart, which is what Horoskope does for your day, week, month and year.

What a horoscope is

Vedic and Western astrology

What is the difference between a Vedic and a Western horoscope?

Western astrology counts the twelve signs from the spring equinox (the tropical zodiac); Vedic astrology, or Jyotish, counts them from the fixed stars (the sidereal zodiac), about 24 degrees earlier.

So a Leo Sun in the West is usually a Karka (Cancer) Sun in Vedic astrology, and in India 'your sign' usually means the Rashi, the sign the Moon was in. Horoskope reads one chart both ways: the Vedic voice in Jyotish's own terms, with your nakshatra, your dasha and the panchang, and the Western voice in plain English, with your tropical signs and today's sky by house.

Vedic and Western astrology, side by side
Can I use both Vedic and Western astrology?

Yes.

They measure the same sky from different starting points, so they can be read side by side rather than as rivals. Western astrology, on the tropical zodiac, is often read for psychology and the feel of the moment; Vedic astrology, on the sidereal zodiac, is often read for timing through the dasha periods. Horoskope calculates both from one birth moment, and you can switch between them any time.

Vedic vs Western astrology
Does Horoskope AI use Vedic astrology?

Yes.

Horoskope computes your Vedic chart in the sidereal zodiac at the Lahiri ayanamsa, the standard used in India: your Rashi (Moon sign), Lagna, nakshatra and pada, the divisional charts, the Vimshottari dasha periods and today's panchang. The Vedic style keeps the classical Sanskrit vocabulary, with its terms explained when you hover or tap them.

Find your Vedic Rashi
Does Horoskope AI use Western astrology?

Yes.

Horoskope's Western voice reads the tropical zodiac: your tropical Sun, Moon and rising signs, houses counted in whole signs from the tropical rising sign (from your Sun sign when the birth time is unknown), and the Sun, Moon and five visible planets moving through them today, retrogrades and the Moon's phase included. The chart drawing in the app is cast sidereal in both voices, and says so. The Western style speaks in plain everyday language.

The twelve signs in both systems
What is a nakshatra?

A nakshatra is one of the 27 lunar mansions of Vedic astrology, each 13 degrees and 20 minutes of the sidereal zodiac.

The Moon passes through about one a day, and the one it held at your birth, your birth star, shapes temperament in Jyotish and sets the start of your dasha periods. Each nakshatra divides into four padas.

The 27 nakshatras
What is a Vedic dasha?

A dasha is a planetary period in Vedic astrology: a stretch of years ruled by one planet.

The Vimshottari system divides a 120-year cycle into nine planetary periods, the mahadashas, of 6 to 20 years each, with sub-periods called antardashas, and dates them from your Moon's nakshatra at birth. It is Jyotish's main timing tool: it says which chapter of life you are in and when the next one begins.

What a dasha is
Why is my sign here different from the one I know?

Vedic astrology counts the signs from the fixed stars (sidereal); pop astrology counts them from the spring equinox (tropical).

The two have drifted about 24 degrees apart, so most placements land one sign earlier in the Vedic count. Your Vedic sign, the Rashi, is also your Moon's sign rather than your Sun's. Horoskope shows the tropical Sun sign you know beside your sidereal Rashi, and the chart in the app, cast sidereal in both voices, says so beneath it. Neither system is wrong. They simply measure from different starting points.

The twelve signs in both systems
Can I read it without knowing any Sanskrit?

Yes, and by default you will.

The Western style speaks in plain everyday language: your signs, your houses, your transits, your life chapters. The Vedic style keeps the classical Sanskrit vocabulary, with its terms explained when you hover or tap them. Switch between them any time; your birth details and the computed chart stay the same, and only the words, and the Western voice's tropical signs and sky, change.

The astrology

Is this real astrology or generic AI text?

It is computed astrology: computation first, interpretation second.

Your birth chart is cast from an astronomical ephemeris, then the other 15 divisional charts, the fine-grained layer, and the classical timing and compatibility algorithms run. Only then do the words come, and only the words: no model ever computes a position, a date or a window, on this site or in the app. Where AI writes, as in the reading and in Ask (Pro), it is grounded in a knowledge base of over 1,800 passages and your actual positions.

The full methodology
What makes a birth-chart reading deeper than a sun-sign one?

The layer it reads from.

A sign is 30 degrees wide; the Nadi tradition this is built on divides each sign into 150 named slivers of 12 arc-minutes, the nadiamsa, and reads from the one you were born into. It needs your birth time to the minute, which is why we ask for it.

How the nadiamsa is read
Is the weekly, monthly and yearly reading just the daily one stretched out?

No, and this is the part we care most about.

Each horizon is read from the technique whose own cadence matches it: the day from the transiting Moon against your birth star, the week from a seven-day census of the sky, the month from the Sun, the year from Jupiter, Saturn and the nodes changing sign. They are computed from different inputs, so they cannot collapse into the same paragraph at four lengths. Your year runs from your birthday, not from January, because that is the classical annual unit. The day is free in both voices; the week, the month and the year come with Pro, and with the free trial.

How each horizon is computed
Does Horoskope tell fortunes?

No.

Fortune telling names the event and the date. This names the period and what the tradition makes of it: it computes your chart, tells you which planetary period you are living through, and says what the classical literature reads into that structure. It makes no claim to know what will happen to you. It is for reflection and for enjoying a very old craft, and it is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

What a reading can and cannot tell you
Does Horoskope predict the future?

No, not in the way the word is usually meant.

It describes tendencies in your chart and your timing, never certainties, and it guarantees no outcome. The one thing it is exact about is when: the date a planet reaches a position is astronomical, and it arrives on that day whatever anyone says about it. What that movement means for you is read from your chart, and it is for reflection, cultural interest and entertainment, not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

Price, the trial and cancelling

How does the free trial work?

The free trial is yours to start, when you choose, and it runs for 7 days.

A new account begins on Free, with nothing to decide at sign-up; tap Unlock with your 7-day free trial on any locked reading or feature, or start it from the pricing page, and the week, the month, the year and the guru open. Is the free plan enough, or should I pay?

Start free, no card, and the free plan is a real one.

You get your full birth chart and your life chapter timeline. You get today's reading every day, in full and in both voices: what to do, what to go easy on, and a practice that costs nothing. Once your birth details are in, the morning email opens it for you at 8 AM. Pay when you want the week, the month and your year from your birthday, the days dated, and the guru to talk to. Pro is $19.99 a month, or $10.00 a month billed yearly. In India, Pro is ₹999 a month or ₹5,999 a year, GST included, and you can pay with UPI. You can try Pro free for 7 days whenever you choose, to decide, with no card and nothing that converts on its own. Afterwards your account continues on Free.

Free and Pro, side by side
How do I cancel Pro?

Online in Settings, on one screen, with one Cancel subscription button and a confirmation, and it takes effect immediately.

No phone call, no chat queue, no retention maze. Renewal stops at once; Pro stays on until the end of the period already paid, then your account continues on Free. The free 7 days need no cancelling at all: they end on their own, nothing is charged, and no card is taken.

Terms & Conditions
Does it renew on its own?

A paid Pro subscription does: it renews automatically until you cancel, at the price you bought it at unless we give you at least 30 days' notice of a change, as the Terms set out.

The renewal terms are stated beneath every purchase button before you buy, and you can switch off auto-renewal in Settings at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. The free 7 days are different: they never convert into anything, because there is no card behind them.

Terms & Conditions
Can I get a refund?

Cancelling stops every future charge, and access continues to the end of the period already paid.

Fees already charged are generally not refunded, except where your local law says otherwise: the EU and UK withdrawal right, for example: within 14 days of a subscription's first charge you can withdraw, and are refunded less a proportionate amount for the days already used. The Refunds section of the Terms & Conditions has the details, and requests sent to the address in the footer are reviewed.

How does kundli matching work here?

Enter two sets of birth details.

The free matching on this site gives the Ashtakoota total out of 36 and each of the eight kootas' points, with no account. It flags Nadi or Bhakoot dosha only when one is present and not cancelled. In the app, the score and the full compatibility reading are part of Pro, and of the free trial.

Can I share this with my parents in their language?

Yes, with Pro.

The app runs in 8 languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. The language is set per account, so on her own account, with Pro or the free trial, your mother reads her chart in Marathi or Tamil while you read yours in English. Free accounts read in English. Profiles run 2 on Free, 5 on Pro.

Where does my birth data live?

In a Postgres database on AWS, in United States regions, in private subnets, with TLS connections.

We never sell your data. Your chart never trains anyone's model. Export or delete everything, any time. Voice questions are transcribed, and the audio is discarded once the transcript exists. Export everything as JSON, or delete it all, whenever you want, from Settings, and deleting the account cancels any active subscription first, so you can never be billed for an account that no longer exists. It erases the morning email too. Payment records are kept by Stripe, as the law requires.

Privacy Policy
Will you scare me into buying remedies?

Never, and the practices are a real part of the product rather than something withheld.

Every reading ends on one concrete thing to do, tied to the factor carrying the day, and it is free by rule: the writer is checked so that no practice asks you to spend. Where the classical remedies come in, through Ask (Pro), they are the ones that cost nothing: a mantra, a day kept plainly, something given from what your household already has, or time spent with a person. There are no gemstones, no paid pujas, no priest's fee, and nothing whose price rises with how worried you are. Skipping a practice has never caused anything, and no reading here will suggest otherwise. We will never tell you something bad is coming to make you open the app.
