Virgo horoscope today
Virgo today, Monday, October 5, read two ways: from the Sun sign, and from Kanya Rashi for Moon sign Virgo. The Moon is in your 12th: sleep, solitude and loose ends. A quiet day; finish rather than start, and go to bed early.
Virgo horoscope today, read two ways. Here is what it tends to bring, in the Western voice and the Vedic one, as Kanya rashi.
Western voice, for Sun sign Virgo · Moon in your 12th
Everyone born with the Sun in Virgo shares this sky today. Below is what it tends to bring in the Western voice, counted from the Sun sign, and in the Vedic voice, counted from Kanya for those whose Moon sign is Virgo. Then the part no column can do: the same day read from your own chart.
This season
Saturn sits in your 8th this season, steady pressure on that part of life. Jupiter is in your 12th, growth in that area, if you make room for it.
Virgo Moon sign (Kanya Rashi) today
For people whose Moon sign is Virgo, today's Moon is in the 11th from Kanya, counted on the sidereal zodiac.
For Moon sign Virgo, not Sun sign Virgo · Chandra in the 11th from Kanya
Chandra in the 11th: gains and friends. Ask plainly; this is the count of income.
The reading above this one is for Sun sign Virgo; this one is for Moon sign Virgo. A Vedic rashifal is read from your Moon sign, your Rashi, and most people's Sun and Moon signs differ. Finding your Rashi needs your birth date, time and place: find your Rashi or use the Moon sign calculator. Sun sign, Moon sign, Rashi and Lagna, explained.
Shani and Guru from Kanya Rashi this season
Shani transits the 7th from Kanya this season. Guru transits the 11th from Kanya, a favourable count for sincere requests.
For Moon sign Virgo, the Moon passes the 11th, 12th, 1st, 2nd from Kanya this week. Saturn and Jupiter are counted on the sidereal zodiac; how transits are counted.
The week ahead
The Moon moves through your 12th, 1st, 2nd this week, counted from Virgo. Best days are when it sits in your 1st, 3rd, 5th, 9th or 11th; go gently when it is in your 8th or 12th.
This is a sign-level reading: true for one twelfth of the world. Your own reading uses your Moon, your rising sign and the period you are living through, and it is free from your birthday.
How it is worked out
At the last hourly update, the Moon was in Leo on the Western zodiac. Counted from Virgo as the 1st sign, that is your 12th. The Sun-sign line is what the Moon in that house tends to bring.
The Kanya reading runs the same count on the sidereal zodiac, the one Vedic astrology uses. There the Moon was in Karka, the 11th from Kanya. The two zodiacs sit about 24 degrees apart, so the two counts can differ by a sign.
The season lines come from where Saturn and Jupiter sit, counted the same way on each zodiac. The positions come from an astronomical ephemeris. The date shown is the day in UTC. How Horoskope reads a chart.
What this cannot tell you
- The Sun-sign reading is the same for everyone with the Sun in Virgo, about one person in twelve.
- The Kanya reading is right for you only if your Moon sign, your Rashi, is Kanya. Many people with the Sun in Virgo have a different one.
- Neither can know your rising sign or the period you are in. Those need your birth details.
- The date is the UTC day. Where you live it may already be tomorrow, or still yesterday.
