Gemini horoscope today
Gemini today, Monday, October 5, read two ways: from the Sun sign, and from Mithuna Rashi for Moon sign Gemini. The Moon is in your 3rd: conversations, errands and short trips move fast. Send the message you have been putting off.
Gemini horoscope today, read two ways. Here is what it tends to bring, in the Western voice and the Vedic one, as Mithuna rashi.
Western voice, for Sun sign Gemini · Moon in your 3rd
Everyone born with the Sun in Gemini shares this sky today. Below is what it tends to bring in the Western voice, counted from the Sun sign, and in the Vedic voice, counted from Mithuna for those whose Moon sign is Gemini. Then the part no column can do: the same day read from your own chart.
This season
Saturn sits in your 11th this season, steady pressure on that part of life. Jupiter is in your 3rd, growth in that area, if you make room for it.
Gemini Moon sign (Mithuna Rashi) today
For people whose Moon sign is Gemini, today's Moon is in the 2nd from Mithuna, counted on the sidereal zodiac.
For Moon sign Gemini, not Sun sign Gemini · Chandra in the 2nd from Mithuna
Chandra in the 2nd from your rashi: speech, food and dhana. Guard the purse and the word; both leak on a 2nd-house Moon.
The reading above this one is for Sun sign Gemini; this one is for Moon sign Gemini. A Vedic rashifal is read from your Moon sign, your Rashi, and most people's Sun and Moon signs differ. Shani and Guru from Mithuna Rashi this season
Shani transits the 10th from Mithuna this season. Guru transits the 2nd from Mithuna, a favourable count for sincere requests.
For Moon sign Gemini, the Moon passes the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th from Mithuna this week. Saturn and Jupiter are counted on the sidereal zodiac; how transits are counted.
The week ahead
The Moon moves through your 3rd, 4th, 5th this week, counted from Gemini. Best days are when it sits in your 1st, 3rd, 5th, 9th or 11th; go gently when it is in your 8th or 12th.
This is a sign-level reading: true for one twelfth of the world. Your own reading uses your Moon, your rising sign and the period you are living through, and it is free from your birthday.
How it is worked out
At the last hourly update, the Moon was in Leo on the Western zodiac. Counted from Gemini as the 1st sign, that is your 3rd. The Sun-sign line is what the Moon in that house tends to bring.
The Mithuna reading runs the same count on the sidereal zodiac, the one Vedic astrology uses. There the Moon was in Karka, the 2nd from Mithuna. The two zodiacs sit about 24 degrees apart, so the two counts can differ by a sign.
The season lines come from where Saturn and Jupiter sit, counted the same way on each zodiac. The positions come from an astronomical ephemeris. The date shown is the day in UTC. How Horoskope reads a chart.
What this cannot tell you
- The Sun-sign reading is the same for everyone with the Sun in Gemini, about one person in twelve.
- The Mithuna reading is right for you only if your Moon sign, your Rashi, is Mithuna. Many people with the Sun in Gemini have a different one.
- Neither can know your rising sign or the period you are in. Those need your birth details.
- The date is the UTC day. Where you live it may already be tomorrow, or still yesterday.
